Original Universe or Alternate Universe? Original

Personality: Stiles is fiercely loyal. As far as we can tell in the first episode, Scott is his only friend. His best friend. Yeah, he has some acquaintences, but nobody like Scott. Stiles does practically everything with Scott. In the pilot, Stiles hears about the half of a dead body in the woods and he goes to Scott's house to get him so they can go look for the other half. Who does that? They're in most of the same classes together, they sit on the bench play lacrosse. And with that constantly being around each other, their friendship is one that very much Batman and Robin, The Lone Ranger and Tonto. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. When Stiles realizes that Scott was bitten by a werewolf, an honest to god werewolf, Stiles doesn't run screaming for the hills, he goes into heavy research mode. He scours the internet and the occasional book that does't look like a complete hoax, to try and figure out what his best friend is going to be going through. There isn't a lot, but Stiles doesn't let that stop him. He would do anything for Scott. And as the seasons progress, we realize that Stiles would do the same for others. His father is one, obviously. The Sheriff is the only living relative of Stiles' immediate family and he would do anything for him. Stiles makes sure his dad is eating right, out of a deep-seated need to make sure that he's healthy and will live a long time. After Stiles' mother, Claudia Stilinski, passed away eight years ago (and he was in the room), Stiles was determined to have his father live a long, healthy life, if he had anything to say about it. When his father is kidnapped, Stiles is dead set on finding him and stopping the Darach. He doesn't want to lose the only family he has left. So he'll risk his life, his soul, to save him.

There are several remarks aimed at Stiles' intelligence. The former Chemistry teacher, Mr. Harris, used to repeatedly insult him in front of the class, not caring what it might do to Stiles' self-esteem. But despite the insults, and the Adderall comments, Stiles is extremely intelligent. He gets extremely good grades, and really the only complaint some of his teachers have (Harris not included), is that they wish Stiles would do a little more extracurricular activities to help channel his high energy into something productive. Stiles is the one that figures out that Scott really is a werewolf. He often uses his extremely impressive ability to research to learn something new about werewolves or whatever supernatural thing they're researching. When they are faced with a problem, more often than not, Stiles is the one to figure out a way around their predicament. Hand in hand with his intelligence, is Stiles' wit. He can be extremely sarcastic and witty, for multiple purposes. One, to simply get a laugh. Two, to one up the bullies that act like they are all smart but are forever a douchebag. Three, to dig at someone without it being obvious. Or make it so painfully obvious, it makes the other person feel like a big ass. Which is what Stiles goes for a lot of the time.

On the opposite side of the coin, as intelligent as Stiles is, he is also extremely brave. Even though he is only human, he will throw himself in with the werewolves, doing what needs to be done, wanting the best ending, one that is in the favor of good. In the events of "Motel California", when the werewolves were under the influence of a form of wolfsbane that messed with their head, Stiles, Lydia, and Allison were the only ones of their group that could help them. Stiles fought off one of the Alpha Pack werewolves that was going to try to cut his stomach open with a handsaw when he was tripping werewolf balls. When Boyd, one of Derek's pack, was tripping and had gotten into the tub with a safe on his chest, Stiles gets a road flare and uses it to burn Boyd and snap him out of his state and save himself. He does the same to Isaac, who is under the bed, cowering away from some unseen, hallucinated enemy in fear. They find Scott out in the parking lot in a large puddle of gasoline, holding another flare, and Stiles talks him down, using their friendship to bring Scott back from the edge when, at any moment, Scott could have easily dropped the flare and burned himself and Stiles. Time and again, Stiles throws himself into the fray, amongst werewolves and kanimas and darachs, knowing that if he doesn't help his friends, he'd regret it. Yes, he's intelligent, but at the same time, instinct can take over and he'd do whatever he could top help. Whether it crack a bat over the back of a giant werewolf (which is formed by the merging of the twin werewolves yeah it's weird), or allow himself to be drowned in a tub to save his father.

As much as Stiles is (semi-reluctantly) Robin to Scott's Batman, (Stiles wants to be Batman sometimes too, damn it), Stilles is one hundred percent capable of taking charge. He thinks fast, weighing the options in a situation then does what he believes is right and will either keep people safe, or some something from happening entirely. When Scott left to be with Deucalion and his Alpha pack, because Deucalion said that he could help Scott find and save his mom (who had also been kidnapped by the Darach). Stiles made sure that Derek was awake from when the Darach knocked him unconscious in an elevator, so Derek wouldn't get questioned by police or anything. He knew that he couldn't find his dad and now Scott's mom all by himself, he needed Derek to get to the others so they could get a plan of some kind going. But then Derek is more concerned over his sister so Stiles works with Isaac and Allison and Dr. Deaton (Scott's boss who also knows a shitton about the supernatural) to come up with a plan to save his, Allison, and Scott's parents. Stiles will charge in, guns blazing (only no guns because his dad would kill him), and attempt to organize the chaos. When they were being attacked by the Alpha pack in the hospital, Stiles told several people what to do, like getting Peter to help him get an unconscious Cora to safety. He's got good instincts, regardless of him being a human and not something supernatural.

Stiles' relationship with his father is a complex one. He is obviously the most important person in Stiles' life, with Scott a close second. After having lost his mother, Stiles is desperate to not lose his father. So he attempts to control what his dad eats, celery and carrot sticks instead of curly fries like the Sheriff would prefer. And with his dad being the sheriff of the Beacon Hills Police Department, there is always that worry that his dad will get injured in the line of duty. But he knows his father is a great cop, so he'll be careful. They both miss his mother, the Sheriff's wife, terribly. For the most part, they avoid mentioning her, and when they do, it's emotional. It stops the other in their tracks and you can see their hearts break for the long lost. Stiles, occasionally, helps his dad on cases. Which he shouldn't, obviously, because it's not necessarily legal, but they make an excellent team, bouncing ideas off each other and shifting through the evidence to get through the truth. Stiles loves his father more than anyone, and when the Sheriff is kidnapped by the Darach, Stiles gets desperate. He tries to keep a level head and approach it smartly, but his emotions filter through, overwhelming him and he just wants his father back, so he puts himself in danger.

Scott is Stiles' best friend. We can only assume that they've been best friends for years and years, from the way they act and the way their parents act around them. In fact, one of Melissa McCall's forms of punishment when Scott got in trouble, was to ground him from Stiles. Of course, they could see each other at school, but they couldn't outside of it. And in the first episode when Scott and Stiles go to find the dead body, and Stiles is caught by an officer, his dad asks where Scott is, knowing that wherever Stiles is, Scott probably isn't very far away at all. Stiles talks to other students, and attempts to talk to Lydia Martin (who he has been 5ever in love with since grade school), Stiles is most comfortable and accepted by Scott. They have a great banter, and while Scott can be sort of doofy sometimes (like when talking about Allison), Stile scan be there to ground him, and vice versa. As Scott goes through the difficult situation of learning to deal with being a werewolf, Stiles is there for him. When Scott is tripping werewolf balls on wolfsbane and is saying that killing him self would be easier, Stiles risks his own life. Saying that if Scott was going to kill himself, Stiles would go with him, because he was his brother.

Stiles and Derek have an interesting relationship. In season one, Stiles doesn't trust Derek, mostly because, at first, he and Scott believed that Derek had killed the lady out in the woods. They even go so far as calling the cops when they found the other half of the body, buried behind Derek's burned down house, where he way staying. Derek was released when the cops learned that a human couldn't have done it, that Laura's murder was done by an animal and since Derek wasn't an animal, he was not convicted. The come to find out that the woman was actually Laura Hale, Derek's older sister, and he hadn't killed her. In addition to that, Derek was a big grumpy gus and was always threatening to rip out Stiles' throat if he didn't do what Derek wanted. Rude. But as time goes on, and they work together more, they reach this respectful relationship, one with trust coming from both sides. Derek saves Stiles life several times, and Stiles does the very same. In season two, when Derek is paralyzed by the kanima, both Stiles and Derek fall in the pool, in eight feet of water. Stiles is forced to keep Derek up all by himself, since Derek is paralyzed from the neck down. When Stiles' father is kidnapped, he and Scott go straight to Derek's loft, informing him of what had happened. Due to the fact that Derek was (unknowingly) dating the Darach (against his will thanks to girl magic), they knew that Derek could help them deal with her. So, while they aren't the bestest of friends, they definitely don't hate each other most of the time.

SAMPLES

NETWORK SAMPLE: Here!

LOG SAMPLE: Stiles' Jeep sped through the night, not paying much attention to the speed limit. He was heading from the hospital to Derek's loft and time was of the essence. Ms. Blake. It had been Ms. Blake all along. Ms. Blake had sacrificed all those people, she'd killed Heather, his friend from when they were little. And now she'd taken his dad. Stiles felt frantic, on the urge of a panic attack, but he attempted to channel it to focus on the road, pressing his foot to the gas pedal a little harder. "Dude, slow down. We're gonna crash," Scott said from the passenger seat, brow furrowed with sympathy.

"Do I look like I care, Scott? If she kills my dad, I--" He started then cut himself off. Stiles wasn't sure what he was going to do if Ms. Blake killed his dad. He had less than a year until he was eighteen, and he didn't have any immediate family in Beacon Hills. And there was no way he'd want to leave. No. He wanted to find Ms. Blake and stop her. He'd bash her head in with a bat if he had to. Stiles slowed down just enough to take the turn to Derek's loft, then sped back up once his Jeep was straight again.

"Stiles, we'll find him. Don't worry," Scott said, attempting to sooth his best friend.

"No, Scott! I am going to worry. God forbid it was your mom, okay? What would you do?" Stiles half-shouted, not peeling his gaze away from the road ahead, at least doing that much to avoid crashing. Scott grew quiet and Stiles saw him nod out of the corner of his eye. He opened his mouth to apologize, not wanting to jinx him or anything. He didn't want anything bad to happen to Mrs. McCall either.

Stiles pulled up in front of Derek's building and he was out of the car barely a moment before the engine finished turning off. He was impatient in the elevator, tapping his foot restlessly against the floor, watching the floor number increase. On Derek's floor, he strode down the hall and let himself inside Derek's loft. "Derek!" He shouted, voice edging on desperate. "Derek, I need your help!"

Derek made his way down the spiral staircase, stopping at the bottom. He frowned a little at the sight of Stiles, his heart was pounding, his palms were sweating and his eyes were brimming with tears. "What is it, Stiles?" He asked carefully, stepping closer to the pair.

"It's my dad...."
